From a garage in Denmark

I’m Ole Hedeager, a Danish contemporary artist specializing in original figurative drip paintings.

I came to painting late. For years, I taught school and worked as an illustrator in advertising. At fifty, I left that world behind and began painting full time.

That was when I developed my distinctive approach to figurative drip painting — creating faces, figures and emotions through flowing lines of paint. Figurative drip painting is a rare and highly specialized technique, practiced professionally by only a small number of artists worldwide, with even fewer working with it in Europe.

I work without ever touching the canvas. The paint is dripped freely from a spatula above the surface, guided only by the movement of my wrist. One continuous line at a time, the process becomes almost like a dance between movement, control and chance.

Every original drip painting you see here is created by hand in my studio in Denmark. Each work is unique, signed by me, and available directly from the artist to collectors around the world.

Studio works

Water-based acrylic on canvas, poured in a single continuous session. These are the works where the technique is at its most direct — one unbroken line, no corrections, no going back. Sizes from 50×50 cm. Each one exists only once.

Signature Works

My most substantial works. The same poured line, but built up over three weeks and finished with epoxy resin and glass, which gives the surface depth and catches the light as you move past it. The technique is the same — the materials and the time are not.

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return the work in its original packaging for a full refund. Buying art online without seeing it in person is a leap of faith, and you should not be stuck with a work that does not fit your space.
