Long description
She Dances Anyway was painted in my studio in Klovborg using the drip technique I have worked with for years. The paint never touches the canvas as a brushstroke — it falls in long, continuous threads, and the figure emerges as the line travels. There is no correcting and no retouching. The line has to land the first time.
She is caught mid-turn, her head not yet caught up with her body. The dress is built from hundreds of threads over a field of soft blue, and the small marks of orange, green, violet and red sit in it like points of light in the dusk. Nobody is watching her. She dances anyway.
Painted in water-based acrylic on stretched canvas, continued around the edges so it hangs without a frame. Signed on the front and supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity.
