The One Between
Three figures. One connection. And one who is just a little different.
In The One Between, three female figures emerge from an intricate network of black dripped lines. The central figure is interrupted by small accents of red and yellow, creating a subtle distinction between belonging and individuality.
The work can be read as a story about finding your own identity while remaining connected to others — about being part of something without disappearing into it.
The painting is created using Danish artist Ole Hedeager’s distinctive figurative drip-painting technique. Rather than drawing or painting the figures directly onto the canvas, Hedeager drips and guides the paint from above, allowing controlled movement, spontaneity and chance to exist simultaneously.
Every line becomes part of the movement.
Every drip is unique.
And the result can never be recreated exactly.
